UNI GROW N-46

Uni Grow N-46 is a urease inhibitor fertilizer developed to increase the effectiveness of nitrogen fertilization. The urease inhibitor in its content delays the hydrolysis of urea fertilizer and reduces nitrogen losses (evaporation) in the form of ammonia (NH3). It helps to increase efficiency and quality when used in appropriate amounts. It provides the opportunity to apply in less doses than conventional nitrogen fertilizers.

Urea fertilizers are prone to evaporation of nitrogen in the form of ammonia (NH3) depending on the application method, soil type and environmental factors, and this loss can reach up to 50% of the total nitrogen applied. One way to reduce nitrogen loss in urea fertilizer is to reduce the hydrolysis of urea by inhibiting urease activity. Urease is an enzyme that acts as a catalyst in the hydrolysis of urea to carbon dioxide and ammonia.

With the inhibition of urease, the urea fertilizer can pass or bind to the soil without hydrolysis to NH3. In this way, it is retained by soil colloids and reduces the loss of nitrogen in gas form. NBPT [N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide] is a well-known urease inhibitor. The most important advantage of NBPT is that it can effectively inhibit urease even at low concentrations in different soil types.
