According to the State Statistics Committee Interfax-Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan exported 22.24 thousand tons of fresh apples in the first quarter of 2023, worth 14 million 304 thousand dollars.
When these values are compared with the same period of 2022, Azerbaijan apple exports have increased by 2 times in terms of quantity and 96% on the basis of value.
In the first three months, Azerbaijan exported 21,023 tons of apples to Russia, the main importer, which corresponds to 751.68 thousand dollars with an increase of 94.7% compared to the same period of the previous year. Generally, in this period, Azerbaijan exported 94.5% of its apples to Russia.

Russia, the main exporter, exported 77,115 tons of fresh apples from Azerbaijan in 2022, corresponding to 50 million 180.3 thousand dollars. In the light of these figures, Russia bought 93.7% of Azerbaijan's apples in 2022.
