Barış Büyükyörük, Chairman of the Board of Uniba Tarım, which entered the list of 'Turkey's 100 Fastest Growing Companies' created by the cooperation of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Turkish Economic Policy Research Foundation (TEPAV), told his success story. . The young and innovative company, which stands out from its competitors with the difference it creates by giving importance to R&D studies, currently exports to 23 countries from the Balkans to the Middle East, from Africa to the Turkic republics.

Explaining that Uniba Tarım set out in 2015 and started production by establishing a factory in 2018, Büyükyörük said, “We sell raw materials to fertilizer producers. Another wing of ours is producing. Our capacity has grown with the production. We actually produce formula, not fertilizer. The formulas and proprietary designs we produce make us stand out. Each formula meets expectations highly in terms of its content. We continue our investments in this field by purchasing new machines every year”.

Stating that they are preparing for the production of 'iron EDDHA ', which is not produced in Turkey, Büyükyörük said, “Approximately 3 thousand tons of this product is imported to Turkey. We enter this market as a manufacturer. There is no one in our nearby geography producing this product in micro granule form. We are in the investment process in this area. We plan to start this business with an annual production capacity of 1200-1400 tons in the first place. At the moment, trial production has begun. We aim to complete the trial production within a month and start production.”

Barış Büyükyörük said: “We are planning to distribute 50 percent of our production in exports and 50 percent in order to meet the need in the domestic market. Thus, we take the first step for raw material production. We want to continue in this field. Our investments will continue with the production of different raw materials. Our products go to all geographical regions in Turkey. Our aim is to ensure that 60 percent of our turnover consists of exports.

The biggest reason for the rapid growth we have achieved in the sector is that I am now going through the road I passed as a manager before as a company owner. I am second generation in this family business. I wanted our logo with my fingerprint to be unique along with our products. While each of the choices we made leaves a mark, it was prepared to prioritize environmental awareness.”

Stating that they continued to grow during the pandemic process, Büyükyörük said, “We grew in 2020 despite the difficulties brought by the process. We have added 5 countries to our export portfolio in the last 4-5 months. We expanded our area in the export network by entering new markets such as China and Brazil . We have been permanent in every country we have exported to until today. We continued to grow in the first 3 months of this year. We are moving towards our goals. The agriculture-based industry sector shows positive progress during the pandemic period. In this period, production has become more important than ever.”
