It was established in Izmir in 1982. It is an organization specialized in vegetable seed breeding, production, domestic marketing, import and export in Turkey. It is the leading private sector vegetable seed company of our country with more than 100 employees.
Our company is headquartered in Izmir and houses the general management, finance, accounting and marketing departments.
Altın Tohumculuk is aware of the importance of the breeding and development of new varieties in the seed industry. Many varieties of different types developed by our company are commercially marketed. For this reason, it continues to invest heavily in greenhouse vegetable seed breeding. Our greenhouse vegetable seed breeding and R&D activities are carried out in our Menderes–İzmir, Güzeloba–Antalya and Kadriye–Antalya facilities.
F1 hybrid vegetable seed production is carried out in our modern climate-controlled glass greenhouse facilities in three different locations owned by our company. These facilities are located in Edremit–Balıkesir, Sandı–İzmir and Menderes–İzmir.
In addition, our newly developed F1 hybrid vegetable seed varieties are constantly being introduced to our producers at our Güzeloba – Antalya and Kadriye – Antalya stations.
Our standard seed production is carried out with approximately 100 contracted producers in the Balıkesir region. Our production activities are closely followed by our company experts throughout the season. Thus, it is ensured that the necessary care and diligence is observed at every stage of production. Our company markets its products in domestic and international markets under the brands of Altın Tohum and Golden Seed. Our variety promotion and technical extension services are provided by our agricultural engineers in the Aegean, Marmara, Mediterranean, Black Sea and Çukurova Regions.
In addition to our export-oriented F1 hybrid and standard vegetable seed productions, our greenhouse F1 hybrid varieties developed by our company are also sought after in the Middle East, Caucasus and Australian markets, apart from our domestic market. Altın Tohumculuk makes all the seeds that it produces and markets through imports comply with international quality criteria in its own seed testing laboratory, within the framework of ISTA rules.

The PANDEMIC process we are living in has caused great changes in the lives of all of us. The Internet has become the focal point of our lives. If you don't have internet, you can't go to school, you can't go to work, you can't shop. We've all been living on the computer, in the virtual world. We were happy when we thought about the positive aspects of it.
For example; Now that school is at home, we started to spend more time with our children. When we thought about the negative aspects, we became unhappy. For example, we started working at the computer at home, and due to inactivity in our body, weight gain, increase in our cholesterol level, and wear and tear in our psychology due to being indoors.
In this process, one of the most beautiful and positive aspects for our industry is that hortiturkey saw the change in people's living habits, created a virtual commercial environment for them and added us to this formation.
