SERKONDER Shared Its New Roadmap

In the 6th Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Greenhouse Construction Hardware and Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (SERKONDER) on 10 December 2022, the new chairman and board of directors were elected. The board of directors of SERKONDER Association, which still has 62 members, passed with high representation power among Turkish greenhouse equipment manufacturers and with the intense participation of its members. In the general assembly, where the problems of the sector were discussed and previous management studies were discussed, the previous term was released and the new management was elected. Cengiz Yaylalı, the chairman of the board of directors of SERKONDER, who was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, shared the 2023-2024 vision and roadmap of the new management in his presentation. This roadmap was basically gathered under 7 main headings. These;

1. Activating the greenhouse academy in 2024,
2. Publishing Turkish greenhouse technical standards in 2023 after discussion between universities and members,
3. Strengthening and systematizing relations with domestic and foreign sector stakeholder associations and establishing a greenhouse association framework in the Turkic Republics and Europe,
4. As an association, this is the opening of new "Greenhouse machinery and production" departments by increasing the cooperation between universities and industry. Providing internship, R&D and laboratory support to departments in addition to curriculum support,
5. Ensuring that the "Greenhouse Organized Industrial Zones", which are still established in some places in Turkey, are directed by SERKONDER and designed correctly
6. Continuing to work to ensure that the agricultural support and expectations in official institutions and state banks can be realized more through regular and effective meetings and continue to increase.
7. Establishment of a “Project Approval Center” within SERKONDER for institutions such as banking and insurance companies that carry out the financing and insurance of greenhouses and technically standardize the entire greenhouse sector.
