Tekfen Tarım's World's First EPD Certificate for Sesame Seed

Tekfen Tarım continues to break new ground with its activities with a better environment and world perspective. As a result of measuring the environmental impact of all stages of sesame seeds from the moment they are released to the factory door, Tekfen Tarım; It was entitled to receive the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) document. In this way, Tekfen Tarım became the first company in the agriculture and food sector in Turkey to receive the EPD certificate, as well as the first company in the world to receive the EPD certificate on sesame seeds.

Tekfen was entitled to receive the EPD, an independently verified and registered document that provides transparent and comparable communication of the environmental impacts of products throughout their lifecycles, using the 2020 production data of sesame seeds, with declarations of many environmental parameters, especially carbon footprint. Agriculture; With its solid foundations and deep-rooted experience, it continues to invest in the future, while gradually improving its environmental impact.
