Breaking a growth record in tomato export revenues in 2020, Mexico increased its tomato export revenue by 20.6 % compared to the previous year and generated 2.6 billion dollars revenue.

With this positive picture, which continued in the first quarter of 2021, Mexico exported 830 million dollars worth of tomatoes in the first three months, increasing its revenue by 5.1% compared to the previous year.

Mexico, which experienced a shrinkage of 1.6% in terms of production volume compared to the previous year, exported 1.82 million tons in 2020, and increased its tomato export to 579.000 tons by increasing its production volume by 9.2% in the first quarter of 2021.
