In the January-July period, fruit and vegetable exports from Turkey increased by 20.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, while fruit and vegetable exports to the USA increased by 48%.

According to the Turkish Exporters' Association, Turkey's total exports in the first seven months since the beginning of the year increased by 19.1% compared to the same period of 2021 and reached 144 billion 416 million dollars.

While the direct exports of the agricultural sector in the specified period were 18 billion 790 million dollars with an increase of 20.4% compared to the first 7 months of the previous year, the share of the agricultural sector in the total exports of the country was 13%.

In this period, exports of cereals, legumes, oilseeds and their processing products are 6.3 billion dollars, fruit and vegetable exports are 1.3 billion dollars, dried fruits and products obtained from their processing are 829.8 million dollars, seafood and livestock Exports of furniture, paper and forestry products amounted to 2.4 billion dollars and 4.7 billion dollars.

Compared to last year, Turkey's exports of cereals, legumes, oilseeds and their processing products were 31.4%; fruit and vegetable exports 20.9%; 9.8% of exports of dried fruits and products obtained from their processing; exports of seafood and livestock products increased by 32.1%.

Iraq, where the highest demand for Turkish agricultural products is received, maintains its leadership as the main market for Turkish agricultural products, while the export of grains, legumes, oil seeds and their processing products to this country is 61.6%; seafood and livestock exports 63.3%; exports of furniture, paper and forestry products increased by 8.4%.

The United States, which increased its fruit and vegetable imports from Turkey by 48%, made an import of 198.4 million dollars, while Germany, which decreased its dry fruit and processed product imports by 5.8%, realized an import of 108.5 million dollars.
