Organomineral fertilizers are produced by treating humic acids or materials containing them (peat, lignite or humus) with ammonia, phosphoric acid solutions and potassium salts.
In short, we can define it as fertilizers obtained from a mixture of organic and chemical raw materials.
These fertilizers contain nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, sulfur and calcium elements, as well as nutritional minerals in the organic substances contained in the fertilizer.
Organomineral fertilizers can be found in the form of granules, as well as in liquid form for drip irrigation or foliar application. Organomineral fertilizers in liquid form are called organomineral liquid fertilizers .
The use of organomineral fertilizers, which are obtained by combining the soil healing properties of organic substances and the benefits of minerals in a single fertilizer, has been increasing recently in our country, and their use is especially common in greenhouse production.
We can list the benefits of organomineral fertilizers containing organic and chemical substances as follows.
- This fertilizer, which provides aeration of the soil thanks to the organic matter in its content, is also a soil conditioner, increasing the soil quality and regulating the ph level.
- It increases the water holding capacity of the soil.
- Thanks to the organic matter in its content, it allows the minerals found in the soil to be broken down and taken into the plant body.
- It prevents soil erosion.
- It promotes a healthier root development.
- It protects the plant by binding heavy metals and toxins in the soil.
- If it is used as a base fertilizer, it ensures rapid and homogeneous germination of seeds.
- It increases the nutrient intake of the plant by increasing the efficiency of other fertilizers used.
- It provides more efficiency increase than chemical fertilizers.

Explanation on organomineral fertilizer support according to article 11 of the 2019/46 communiqué:
ARTICLE 11 – (1) The supporting application principles for producers using solid organic-organomineral products, solid organic soil conditioner products, coating fertilizers and organic fertilizers obtained as a result of fermentation, and the issues related to producers who want to benefit from this payment are as follows:

a) Land presence in the ÇKS to the farmers registered in the ÇKS who supplied solid organic-organomineral products, solid organic soil conditioner products, coating fertilizer and organic fertilizer obtained as a result of fermentation between 1/9/2018-31/8/2019 over GTS Support payment is made per decare in proportion to the

(2) Farmers who do not want to benefit from solid organic-organomineral fertilizer support in the 2019 production year should notify their requests in writing to the provincial/district directorates until the end of the working hours on 31/12/2019.
Organomineral fertilizers, which can be found in granular or liquid form, can be used as top fertilizer in addition to being used as base fertilizer before planting or at planting time and can be applied during the entire development process of the plant.
Organomineral fertilizers:
- In open field and greenhouse vegetables, from pre-planting to the entire development period.
- During the entire development period from pre-planting in the garden.
- During the period of budding, flowering and fruit formation and fruit growth in fruit trees.
- Wheat, maize, barley, sunflower…before tillering.
- Bond; from leaf formation to the harvest period.
- Sugar Beet, Potato, Onion, Carrot… , before planting and in leaf formation.
If used as a base fertilizer, organomineral fertilizers should be applied to the seed or root depth.
When used as top fertilizer, it is applied to the soil surface by spreading method.
In fruit trees, it can be applied by mixing it with the soil in a way that it is in the tree crown projection.
In addition to these, it can be applied foliar with drip irrigation or by spraying.
